Moderate Trips: Our Blue Square Adventures
These trips cover some terrain with hills and
valleys and, on bike trips, tend to include distances of 50-80km/day. Most Freewheeling Adventures fall
into this category and are suitable for most ability
levels as they require moderate
fitness levels.
The difficulty will vary with weather and/or road conditions. If you are unsure, choose a guided trip. The vehicle support can help you get over any hill, and can turn even the most difficult trip into an easy one!

7 days of
adventure by sea-kayak, bike, and on foot, on
Cape Breton Island. Includes the Acadian Isle Madame,
St. Peter’s Canal, Bras d’Or and Ainslie Lakes,
and the musical hotbed of Mabou.
Québec: Bike Bas Saint Laurent July 11 - 17, 2011
A
moderately easy 7-day cycle on quiet paved roads
and bike paths, along the south shore of the Saint-Lawrence River. Includes
several of “The Most Beautiful Villages of Québec”
and has superb cuisine.
Icleand: Bike the
Fertile South July 31 - August 7, 2011

days of moderate cycling on paved and smooth
gravel/lava roads, with options to hike, ride
horses, explore Þórsmörk by 4WD, or take a short
flight to the Westmann Islands. In June and
July the sun never sets, and hotpot soaks are
nightly rituals.
