Walking Trips and Bike Tours in Western Europe

Cycling tours in Europe have appealed to the travelling cognoscenti for a century. Come and see whay there are such well developed bicycle routes in what is arguably the most civilized place on earth. France and Italy have so many reasons to ride your bicycle or wear your walking shoes that for many, a European bike tour or a walking trip "on the continent" is an annual necessity. Fortunately for us, we discovered its essence decades ago. Come and share what we have learned since we started operating bike tours and hiking trips here in the eighties.

Brittany & Normandy Bike

7 days. Moderately easy cycling on level and lightly rolling coastal roads. Visit the Bayeux tapestry, D-day beaches, and the coastal castle village of Mont St. Michel with a walk across the sand flats.


Loire Valley Bike

7 days. Cycling on paved, quiet country roads. Rolling hills with breath-taking scenery, World Heritage sites and France’s most amazing Châteaux.


Burgundy Canal Bike

Eight nights. Easy cycling on paved and unpaved canal-side paths, abandoned railbeds, and quiet roads. Flat or slightly hilly terrain travels through the villages, vineyards, and farmlands of Burgundy.


Provence Bike

7 days. Cycling, on paved, quiet Luberon lanes. Some hills, and a very challenging ride up Mont Ventoux, famous as part of the Tour de France route.  Take the van uphill if you prefer!

8 days, cycling with flat and hilly options. Quiet roads through lush river valleys and beautiful stone villages, with visits to castles, and caves displaying pre-historic paintings.
