Autumn News from the Sail Loft Yoga Studio

Sail Loft Yoga Studio, #2105 Rte 329, The Lodge, 857-1224 Email: freewheeling.ca

Regular classes ongoing (drop ins are welcome, or you may purchase an eight-week pass, which entitles you to attend any of Cathy’s regularly scheduled classes).

Hatha vinyasa flow, all levels, Monday nights, 7-8:30 p.m. and Thursday mornings, 10:30 a.m.-noon: everyone is welcome, all ages and abilities.

Ashtanga, all levels: Tuesdays, 7-8:30 p.m.: some prior experience with yoga, and especially Ashtanga yoga, is recommended.

NEW TIME! REDUCED COST Mothers and Daughters: Wednesdays, 5:45-6:45 p.m. This popular eight week program is fun, invigorating, and a great way for mothers and daughters (and aunts, nieces, cousins, friends) to spend time together. In addition to yoga postures, we will incorporate some meditation practice and breathing techniques that help all ages to develop better concentration skills and inner strength. Cost is $10 per class for mother and daughter combo, and there is no charge for an additional daughter. We began October 14th, and will continue until December 2nd. Drop ins are welcome.

YOGA FOR STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY: Wednesday evening classes with Paul Collins, began October 14th, 7-8:30 p.m. and will continue throughout November and December. This drop-in class focuses purely on the building of physical strength and flexibility, using many postures and movements that have been found in sports fitness regimes for decades. No prior experience of Yoga is required and all fitness levels are catered for. The focus of classes will be on movement, ensuring a thorough work-out for all, regardless of physical condition. Each class will highlight a different set of movements, focusing on stretching and strengthening muscles. Suggestions from students are welcomed and active participation in the class is fully encouraged. The class was originally to be called “Yoga for Athletic Wrecks” however it was felt that such a name might unintentionally deter students whose bodies may not have been wrecked by lifelong athletic pursuit. This class is for all, and all can benefit from the class no matter what athletic condition you are in.

Sunday workshops:
Yoga of Sound and Healing with
Silver Firth , Sunday, November 22nd , and
Exploring Ashtanga with Seth Daley, Sunday, November 29th.
Both are five hour workshops, which will include a light lunch afterwards.
For times and costs, please contact Cathy.
