Low Traffic Tours

Low Traffic Tours

We seek, on all cycling tours, routes with minimal and slow-moving traffic. It's rarely possible to avoid traffic entirely for a full week, but if you like to enjoy riding without sharing your route with cars, you will particularly appreciate the following low-traffic tours. They have a particularly strong proportion of country roads, quiet lanes, canal towpaths, and either paved or smooth-surfaced paths designed for bicycles, walkers, or non-motorized traffic. Scotland's West Coast is a great example of a trip that, while not free from traffic, consists almost entirely of single-track roads with low volume and slow vehicles. Other trips shown here do include traffic-free sections, and are a great choice for families, or those simply seeking a peaceful ride.
And, of course, our hiking trips will keep you far from traffic!
