Two Apps, One Seamless Experience
Your tour relies on two complementary applications that work together. Both are free to download and use.
Freewheeling Adventures
Your daily itinerary, lodging details, dining recommendations, and direct communication with your guides and fellow travelers.
Ride with GPS
Turn-by-turn navigation, detailed route maps, and offline access to every ride on your tour, ensuring you stay on track throughout your journey.
During Your Tour
Each Morning
Use Freewheeling Adventures App
Check your itinerary, review the day’s activities, and see any new messages from your guides.
When You’re Ready to Ride
Use Ride with GPS App
Select the day’s route and tap Navigate for detailed turn-by-turn directions.
Getting Started
Open the link in your welcome email to download the app. From there, setup takes just a few minutes.
1 Find Your Tour
Tap My Trips at the bottom of the screen, then select your tour. Browse daily itineraries, activities, dining, and lodging, all organized by date.
Use the Chat tab to message your guides directly, read announcements, or connect with your group.

2 Connect Your Navigation
Under Trip Items, tap the Ride with GPS link to access your route maps. Download each route for offline use. This ensures navigation works in areas without coverage.
3 Create Your Free Account
When prompted, sign up for a free Ride with GPS account. Your tour includes complimentary premium access. If you see a subscription offer, simply tap Skip.
Once confirmed, all your daily routes will be available in the Ride with GPS app, ready to navigate or download.
Hiking
Despite the name Ride With GPS, which is clearly tailored to be a cycling app – we find it to be a very useful tool for our hiking trips, with some minor adjustments. The most effective being:
1 Turn off the auto-pause feature in your settings (This is the biggest thing that will improve your hiking experience!)
2 Ensure “Keep screen on” is toggled off in your settings (This will conserve battery life and allow you to pull out your phone and check anytime to make sure you’re on the right path)
