Moderate Cycling Tours & Small-Group Holidays

Moderate Tour Packages for Small Groups

Designed for for small group travel, these tours require moderate fitness levels. They cover terrain with hills and valleys, and tend to include distances of 50-80km (30-50mi.)/day cycling, or 3-6 hours of walking per day.

Most Freewheeling Adventures fall into our moderate tour packages category; you will usually still have time to stop and take photos, and enjoy your lunch breaks. As always, vehicle support, excellent food, and charming inns are included. These moderate tour packages are designed for all fitness levels, and available with differing support levels including guided, self-guided, private, and customized. If you are unsure about moderate level cycling routes, consider using an electric bike, which allows you to cover more ground while still enjoying the beauty of the route.

Guided trips include abundant van support and the local knowledge of your guides to help you enjoy the route and its options in an informed way, at your own pace. We often congregate for picnics and other delights but we rarely travel as a pack. With our moderate tour packages the guided groups are kept small – usually fewer than twelve, with a minimum of four except on a private basis. We propose scheduled dates, and are open to adding new departures for you to enjoy privately or for us to invite others to join.

On self-guided trips, we handle your luggage transfers, provide route transportation when necessary, and remain just a phone call away for assistance or recommendations. These moderate tour packages are available for as few as two participants, on any dates you choose.
