Challenging Bike Tours and Cycling Holiday Packages for Small Groups

Challenging Tour Packages for Small Groups

We recommend a higher degree of fitness and training to make the most of the experiences you will find on this page.

These challenging tour packages from Freewheeling Adventures include longer distances, bigger hills, long hikes, and full days of activity. As always, they feature vehicle support, excellent food, and charming inns. Designed for those who enjoy pushing their limits and ending each day pleasantly tired, these challenging tour packages are available with varying support levels, including guided, self-guided, private, and custom options.

Guided trips include abundant van support and the knowledge of your guides to help you enjoy the route and its options in an informed way, at your own pace. We often congregate for picnics and other delights but we rarely travel as a pack. The guided groups are kept small – usually fewer than twelve, with a minimum of four except on a private basis. We propose scheduled dates, and are open to adding new departures for you to enjoy privately or for us to invite others to join.

On self-guided trips, we handle your luggage transfers, provide route transportation when necessary, and remain just a phone call away for assistance or recommendations. These challenging tour packages are available for as few as two participants, on any dates you choose.

For those tackling more demanding cycling routes, e-bikes are available, offering an extra boost on difficult climbs and long distances. This makes even the most challenging tour packages more accessible and enjoyable, allowing you to ride with ease and confidence.
